Dr Gian Capati

Dr Gian Capati is a General Surgeon with interests in laparoscopic surgery, hernias, and benign colorectal conditions. He trained at the University of Queensland, with further colorectal subspecialty training at Mater Brisbane and Canberra Hospital. GESA-accredited, he performs endoscopies and colonoscopies.

He is actively involved in teaching and surgical training through the University of Queensland, James Cook University, and ANU, and has served as Director of Clinical Training at Mater Hospital. As a member of the RACS QLD State Committee, he supports junior surgeons and promotes collaborative, patient-focused care.
