About
Clinical Practice:
Dr Gian Urbani is a consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a keen interest in minimal access gynaecological surgery, linking this skill set with further study in the field of reproductive medicine .Dr Urbani provides his services at both Joondalup Private Hospital and Joondalup Health Campus.
Background & Training:
Dr Gian Urbani trained at the University of the Free State in South Africa and has been an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist (O&G) since 2001. Relocating to Western Canada, Gian was a consultant at a large secondary hospital involved in general O&G practice. He developed broad skills across a range of gynaecological issues and pioneered the local advanced laparoscopic service including offering total laparoscopic hysterectomy. Since relocating to JHC, Gian has been working as consultant O&G and has a keen interest in minimal access gynaecological surgery, linking this skill set with further study in the field of reproductive medicine. He completed his Masters Degree in Reproductive Medicine at the University of New South Wales.
