Dr Nabi is an experienced endoscopist offering both colonoscopy and gastroscopy procedures, with accreditation from the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA).
He predominantly performs elective and emergency colorectal operations using a minimally invasive approach, including laparoscopic keyhole surgery, where appropriate.
Dr Nabi completed his primary and secondary schooling in Adelaide, South Australia, before obtaining his medical degree (MBBS) from the University of Adelaide in 2004. He completed his general surgical training at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre in South Australia, and successfully passed his general surgical examinations in 2012, leading to his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).
During his general surgical training, Dr Nabi developed a particular interest in colorectal disorders, which led him to pursue subspecialty training in colorectal surgery. He completed the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ) training program, which included two years of training at Bankstown and St George Hospitals in Sydney, and Fremantle and St John of God Hospitals in Perth. He also undertook colorectal-specific research and examinations, earning membership with CSSANZ.
Dr Nabi has authored several research publications in international journals related to colorectal surgery and surgical education, and he has presented his research at national and international conferences.
