Dr. Hany Ibrahim is an experienced General and Laparoscopic Surgeon, as well as an accredited Endoscopist. He currently consults at North West Private Hospital and serves as a Consultant Staff Specialist at Logan Hospital, providing care within the public health system.
Dr. Ibrahim is known for his warm, respectful approach and for treating each patient with the same level of honesty and care he would offer his own family.
Dr. Ibrahim’s surgical training has had a strong focus on Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS). In 2014, he completed a Diploma in Advanced Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery and Endoscopy at the University of Strasbourg in France—an internationally recognised program for cutting-edge surgical training.
He is accredited by the Conjoint Committee (GESA) to perform upper endoscopies and colonoscopies and is a member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia.
Dr. Ibrahim has an interest in research and surgical education. He has authored multiple publications and presented at both national and international conferences.
He holds the position of Senior Associate Lecturer at the University of Queensland and was recognised as a “Distinguished Academic Title Holder” by the UQ Faculty of Medicine in 2017.
