As a local General Surgeon with an interest in breast surgery, Dr Xia works exclusively in the St George and Sutherland area and will always be accessible for General Practitioners and patients.

Breast oncology: Dr Xia is part of the breast cancer network for the South Eastern Area Health service and is appointed to breastscreen NSW. The surgical service is backed up by a committed network of breast care nurses as well as a multidisciplinary team of oncologists and allied health workers, all patients will be discussed at the breast multidisciplinary meeting and will have access to local chemotherapy, radiation oncology and plastic surgery services.

Endocrine surgery: Di Xia has a strong interest in endocrine surgery including thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal pathology. Having had subspecialist training for more than 2 years in this area at high volume centers, his outcomes in terms of voice quality, calcium levels and cosmesis is of the highest standards. Dr Xia is trained in minimal access surgery for parathyroid and adrenal diseases and all patients are provided with nerve monitoring during surgery to ensure the optimal outcome.

Salivary gland – parotid and submandibular: Dr Xia has experience in the management of the oncological pathologies related to salivary glands and retains a strong interest in these operations. Other services provided: Neck lumps – diagnostic lymph node excision, thyroglossal cysts, branchial cysts. General surgery – lipomas, sebaceous cysts, hernia repairs.
