Doctor Ian Verrall is an Ipswich-based Orthopaedic Surgeon with subspecialty training in Shoulder and Elbow surgery. He has training in arthroscopic procedures such as rotator cuff repair, shoulder stabilisation, and elbow arthroscopy, as well as primary and revision joint replacement of both the shoulder and elbow. Dr Verrall is an enthusiastic and compassionate surgeon with a strong patient focus. His goal is to ensure that each and every patient feels listened to during their treatment journey, as this supports his ability to deliver exceptional care and the best health outcomes possible.

Born and raised in the Northern Territory, Dr Verrall moved to Queensland after completing high school in order to follow his dream of studying Medicine and then train as an Orthopaedic Surgeon. He graduated from James Cook University Medical school in 2011. Dr Verrall completed his Orthopaedic surgical training in Queensland in 2023. In 2024 he travelled to New Zealand to undertake further sub-specialty training in Shoulder and Elbow surgery at North Shore Hospital in Auckland, before returning to south east Queensland. As a country boy, he enjoys the more relaxed pace of life in a regional centre over the hustle and bustle of bigger cities. Dr Verrall is committed to establishing a medical practice that operates with a patient-centric approach. He advocates for surgical intervention only when it is essential to promote optimal health.
