Dr Ilana Gory

Ilana investigates and treats all gastroenterological complaints including functional gut disorders, bowel cancer screening, liver disease and inflammatory bowel disease. Ilana studied medicine at Monash University and graduated in 2006. Following this she completed physician training at the Alfred Hospital and her gastroenterology training at The Alfred and Austin Hospitals.

She undertook a PhD researching the development of colorectal cancer and adenomas in patients with Cystic Fibrosis and was the recipient of the GESApostgraduate research scholarship. Ilana has presented her research both nationally and internationally.

Dr Gory offers endoscopy services and admissions at The Avenue Hospital. Open access gastroscopy and colonoscopy is available.

Pensioners and Health care card holders will be bulk billed. All patients with urgent medical complaints can be seen quickly. Ilana is always happy to discuss cases with the referring practitioner. Ilana is committed to improving the health outcomes of patients and providing medical care with a holistic and caring approach
