Dr Jacob Ooi is a specialist in adult gastroenterology and hepatology, offering care across a broad spectrum of digestive and liver-related conditions. His advanced training includes both clinical and research fellowships at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. Dr Ooi’s clinical interests span general gastroenterology and the management of chronic liver diseases. He is certified by the Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (CCRTGE) and is dedicated to delivering safe, high-quality endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy and colonoscopy. As a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia, Dr Ooi is known for his approachable manner and patient-centred approach to care.
Background / Training
Dr Jacob Ooi earned his medical degree (MBBS) from The University of Notre Dame Australia in 2010. He completed his specialist training in adult medicine and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2024. His postgraduate experience includes significant clinical and research roles in leading tertiary hospitals, equipping him with a strong foundation in both procedural and medical gastroenterology.
