Dr James Anderson

Dr James Anderson graduated from the University of Queensland in 2008 and was admitted to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2017.  He completed specialist training in Brisbane and on the Sunshine Coast, followed by fellowships in Sleep Medicine and Advanced Lung Disease.  He is experienced in all respiratory and sleep disorders including bronchoscopic and pleural procedures. 

James is a Staff Specialist at Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) and Senior Lecturer with Griffith University School of Medicine. He consults privately at the Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital (SCUPH) and Buderim Private Hospital.

James has a special interest in pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary embolism.  He leads the pulmonary hypertension unit at SCUH and has worked extensively with the Pulmonary Hypertension Society of Australia and New Zealand.  His research in pulmonary vascular disease has been published in leading international respiratory journals.
