Dr Jason Maani

Associate Professor Jason Maani is a Specialist General Surgeon with subspecialty expertise in Bariatric, Metabolic and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery. He has extensive experience in the surgical management of obesity and upper gastrointestinal conditions and has performed more than 3,000 bariatric procedures. His practice includes sleeve gastrectomy, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, one-anastomosis (mini) gastric bypass, revisional bariatric surgery, complex hiatus hernia repair and anti-reflux surgery.

 A/Prof Maani is an SRC-designated Master Surgeon in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, an internationally recognised accreditation awarded by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC). He holds an academic appointment as Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor and is actively involved in surgical education and training.

 He consults and operates at St George Private Hospital and has a particular interest in providing individualised, evidence-based treatment for patients considering primary or revisional weight-loss surgery.
