Dr Jason Tsung is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in conditions of the hip and knee, including joint replacement surgery, knee ligament reconstruction and knee arthroscopy. He is a recognised leader in robotic-assisted hip and knee replacement and minimally invasive hip replacement surgery, and has trained peer surgeons in Australia and internationally in these techniques. He is a strong advocate for the use of technology to improve surgical outcomes and patient experience.
Dr Tsung is a committed educator and researcher, involved in registrar teaching and clinical research, with publications in peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of Arthroplasty, the ANZ Journal of Surgery and the Australian Journal of Primary Health. In 2019 he was jointly awarded the NSW Secretary of Health's Clinical Innovation Award for the design and implementation of the Knee and Hip Arthritis Service for the Northern NSW Local Health District, a model since adopted throughout NSW Health.
