About

Dr Hamid practises in all areas of upper limb orthopaedic surgery. His key areas of interest are shoulder replacement and reconstruction, reconstructive elbow surgery, and wrist surgery including carpal tunnel syndrome.

 

Dr Jehan Hamid completed his orthopaedic training in Sydney, followed by 18 months of fellowship training in shoulder, elbow, and hand surgery. He stays up to date with the latest techniques and technologies, including computer-navigated shoulder replacements and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and wrist. During his training, he worked with upper limb surgery teams at Prince of Wales Hospital, Concord Hospital, and Sydney Hand Hospital.

 

He completed the Sydney Fellowship in Advanced Upper Limb Surgery, the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital Upper Limb Fellowship, and the BARTS Bone and Joint Upper Limb Fellowship at The Royal London Hospital, the largest trauma centre in Europe.

 

Dr Hamid has a relaxed and professional manner and is passionate about ensuring his patients achieve the best possible outcomes. His training and research interests inform his patient-centred decision-making.
