Dr Jie Xu

Clinical Practice

Dr Jie Xu is a Specialist Physician in Pain Medicine, dedicated to helping patients manage a wide range of conditions including neck and back pain, shoulder and knee pain, headaches, and migraines. He works collaboratively with allied health professionals and other medical specialists to develop comprehensive, multidisciplinary treatment strategies for persistent pain. Dr Xu has a particular interest in minimally invasive pain management procedures and continually explores emerging therapies to improve patient outcomes.

 

Background and Training

Dr Xu completed his medical degree at Monash University in Melbourne. He gained broad clinical experience working across Perth’s major tertiary hospitals as a junior doctor before undertaking specialist training in Pain Medicine at Sir Charles Gairdner and Royal Perth Hospitals. He further refined his expertise through an Interventional Pain Fellowship, focusing on advanced procedural techniques.

 

Personal Insight

Having personally experienced chronic back pain, Dr Xu brings a deep understanding of the physical and emotional challenges associated with persistent pain. His own journey has shaped a compassionate and patient-centred approach to care, and he remains highly motivated to support others in navigating their pain management journey.
