Dr Joanne Dale is a locally trained General Surgeon, operating and consulting at North West Private Hospital. She has an interest in all aspects of colorectal surgery, including colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and anorectal problems (bleeding, haemorrhoids, fistula and fissures). She offers colonoscopy services, including polypectomy, haemorrhoid banding and anal botox. Dr Dale will be performing anorectal physiology and 3D ultrasound assessments as part of her specialist colorectal service at North West Private Hospital. Dr Dale completed her Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) Fellowship in General Surgery in Queensland in 2009. Dr Dale obtained Conjoint Committee accreditation for colonoscopy in 2009. Following this, she completed a further three years in post Fellowship Colorectal Surgery training. These full-time training positions included one year each at the Gold Coast University Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre, Adelaide and the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane.
Dr Dale has an interest in providing holistic care. She is an advocate for Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) programs. Dr Dale aims to tailor patient treatment to the individual, to ensure that all patient concerns are addressed, and the best outcomes are achieved.
