About
Dr Joel Lewin is a General Surgeon with subspecialty training in Liver, Pancreas and Gallbladder surgery.
Dr Lewin obtained his General Surgery fellowship in Queensland and completed a further three years of subspecialty post fellowship training through the AANZHPBA in high volume tertiary centres, including Box Hill Hospital in Victoria, Mater Hospital Brisbane, and the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital, with a strong focus on robotic and laparoscopic HPB surgery. These positions also provided extensive experience in emergency general surgery and minimally invasive hernia repair.
Dr Lewin has published and presented internationally on techniques in robotic and laparoscopic liver and pancreatic surgery. He is a lecturer at the University of Queensland Medical School.
