Dr Joel Steiner

Dr Steiner is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with an interest adult spinal disorders and deformity surgery. He graduated from Monash University, with honours, before moving to Sydney to complete his Orthopaedic training. During this time, he also obtained a Graduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy and a Master of Traumatology.

Following completion of his advanced Orthopaedic training and obtaining his Fellowship from the Australian Orthopaedic Association and Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, he undertook a specialist spinal fellowship at Royal North Shore Hospital where he focused on both spinal trauma and elective spinal surgery. Following this he completed a further fellowship at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London where he focused on complex spinal deformity surgery, degenerative conditions, minimally invasive spinal surgery and the management of primary and metastatic spinal tumors.

Dr Steiner consults at St Leonards and Westmead and is currently undertaking a locum position at Royal North Shore Hospital.
