Dr John Gault

Dr Gault was born and raised in Northern Ireland where he studied and received his formal qualification in Medicine at Queens University in Belfast. John relocated to Australia early in his medical career and completed his Fellowship in General Surgery with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Surgeons. John has undergone extensive training in oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery in both Europe and the United States gaining extensive experience in both these areas.

In addition to his private practice, Dr Gault has been a Staff Specialist at The Gold Coast Hospital; Robina Campus since 2008. He has played a major role in establishing the General, Breast and Melanoma services at Robina for the Gold Coast district. More recently, John has established a breast reconstruction and oncoplastic service in the public hospital system on the Gold Coast. With an interest in training and education in his field of expertise, John has also pioneered and established a Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand Fellowship training position in Breast surgery at the Gold Coast Hospital; Robina. Dr Gault is a Consultant at Breast Screen Australia at the Southport Branch.
