Dr John Preston has been caring for patients in Greenslopes Private Hospital and Bayside for well over a decade. He has experience in diagnosis and treatment of prostate, bladder and kidney problems including cancer. He has particular interests in minimally invasive surgery for kidney stones, laparoscopic kidney surgery, kidney transplantation and the endoscopic treatment of voiding symptoms.
On completion of his surgical training in Brisbane, he was awarded the Urological Society Travelling Fellowship to the internationally regarded Institute of Nephrology and Urology in London. He has held executive positions within the state Urological Society and has served on numerous quality and teaching committees at Greenslopes Private Hospital.
On his return to Brisbane he opened the Greenslopes Urology Clinic in 1999. He continues as a senior surgeon in the Queensland Renal Transplant Service and offers private consulting, inpatient care and surgical services at the Greenslopes Private Hospital.
