Dr John Stanley

Clinical Practice
Mr John Stanley is a Consultant Urological Surgeon based at Hollywood Private Hospital. He has been practising urology since the mid 1980s and brings decades of specialist experience to the management of both complex and common urological conditions. His main clinical focus is on renal and ureteric stone management and male lower urinary tract symptoms. His areas of expertise include laser lithotripsy, minimally invasive urological surgery, prostate disease, transperineal prostate biopsy, ureteroscopic surgery, urinary calculi, and vasectomy. His comprehensive knowledge of urological disease, developed over decades of practice, is translated into thoughtful, evidence-based care tailored to the individual needs of each patient.

 

Background and Training
Mr Stanley graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Western Australia in 1981. He undertook further specialist training in the United Kingdom, achieving Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1985, before returning to Australia. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1989, completing his formal urological training and establishing a long-standing specialist practice.
