Dr Jon Banks

Dr Jon Banks takes a holistic approach to patient care, prioritising communication, comfort, and dignity.  A specialist Respiratory & Sleep Medicine and General Medicine Physician with expertise in Palliative Medicine, enables him to support patients at any stage of their health journey. Dr Banks holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Queensland and gained Fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2022. His expertise spans complex airways diseases, lung cancer, sleep disorders, chronic respiratory infections, and more. Outside of his practice at John Flynn Private Hospital, he is a Staff Specialist at Gold Coast University Hospital and a Senior Lecturer at Griffith University. Passionate and compassionate, Dr Banks is committed to helping his patients with their respiratory and sleep health needs.
