Dr Jon Sillar

Jon grew up in Newcastle prior to completing his medical degree at The University of Sydney in 2010. Following completion of his advanced training in Haematology, Jon went on to complete a leukaemia fellowship gaining valuable expertise in managing patients with acute leukaemias and myeloid neoplasms.

 

Jon is a Staff Specialist Haematologist at the Calvary Mater Public Hospital. Jon treats both malignant and non-malignant haematological disorders. At the Calvary Mater Newcastle, Jon is actively involved with clinical trials for patients with myeloid neoplasms, including acute myeloid leukaemia, myeloproliferative neoplasms and myelodysplastic syndrome.

 

Jon is a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of Newcastle teaching medical students, junior doctors and advanced trainees in Haematology
