Dr Joshua Lansom

Dr Joshua Lansom is a General Surgeon based in the Shoalhaven region. He has completed subspecialty training in colorectal surgery through the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ).

 

Dr Lansom has a particular interest in:

 

   - colorectal cancer and complex proctology, including;

• haemorrhoids
• anal fissures
• fistulas. 

   - inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis)

 

   - pelvic floor conditions such as:

• rectal prolapse
• incontinence
• obstructed defecation.

Dr Lansom offers minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery, including laparoscopic techniques, to support faster recovery and better outcomes.

 

He also performs general surgical procedures such as:

• hernia repairs
• gallbladder surgery
• pilonidal surgery.

Dr Lansom works closely with GPs and other specialists to provide personalised, evidence-based care.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children and enjoying the Shoalhaven lifestyle.
