Dr Julia Shkolnikova is an Australian-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with an interest in hand and upper limb surgery.
She completed her medical degree with distinction, worked as a junior doctor in Victoria and Queensland, and undertook advanced training in Orthopaedic Surgery in Victoria. Following this, Dr Shkolnikova completed Hand and Upper Limb Fellowships in Townsville and the Gold Coast, a Microsurgical Course in Singapore, and attended various conferences and courses focused on upper limb surgery.
After completing her specialist training, Dr Shkolnikova worked on the Gold Coast before relocating to Cairns, a place she fell in love with during her junior years. She treats a wide spectrum of hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder conditions, including trauma and is dedicated to continuous professional development, research, and teaching.
She consults at FNQ Hand Surgery and operates at Cairns Private Hospital and Ramsay Surgical Centre. She is also a Staff Specialist at Cairns Hospital.
