Dr Smith is a member of the team at Joondalup Private Gynaecology Obstetrics Group.
Background & Training:
Dr Julie Smith graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2002 with her MBChB. With a love for Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G) Julie completed her Diploma in Obstetrics in 2004 and then worked in rural and urban areas of South Africa as well as in Australia and the United States. Returning to South Africa, Julie completed her specialist training in early 2011 at Groote Schuur Hospital and was also awarded her Masters in Medicine.
Julie arrived in WA in late 2011 to work at King Edward Memorial Hospital before settling into her current role as Consultant at JHC. Julie is a Fellow of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and of the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa.
