Dr Kamala Kanta Das

Dr Das is a General Surgeon with an interest in upper GI, bariatric, general and advanced endoscopic surgery and ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography). He provides weight loss, hernia and gallbladder surgery as well as a wide range of general and upper gastrointestinal procedures at both Baringa Private Hospital , Ramsay Surgical Centre and Coffs Harbour Health Campus.

Dr Das has been trained at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney and has undertaken additional training in minimal access surgery in France. He is passionate about providing services to locals in this region without the need of transferring patients to major hospitals in Sydney or Brisbane. 

Furthermore, Dr Das has a passion for teaching medical students, junior doctors and specialist doctors in training as a means of providing to his community through education and continual professional development. He is a Clinical Lecturer at the Rural Clinical School of the University of New South Wales.
