Dr Karen Waller

Dr Karen Waller, BSc(Adv) MBBS PhD FRACP, is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist working as a VMO at Strathfield Private Hospital and Staff Specialist at Concord Repatriation General Hospital. Although she works in all areas of gastroenterology, she has a special interest in liver diseases, with additional training through a Liver Transplant Fellowship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. She serves on committees for the Gastroenterological Society of Australia and the Transplantation Society of Australia and New Zealand. She has attained numerous research awards, including the NHMRC Postgraduate Research Scholarship, and the international Transplantation Society Young Investigator Award, and continues to work as a Research Fellow at the University of Sydney School of Public Health and NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre.
