Dr Karyn Lun

Dr Karyn Lun graduated from the University of Queensland with an undergraduate medical degree (MB BS). She worked as a general practitioner for 5 years prior to training in dermatology, gaining her Fellowship from the Australasian College of Dermatologists (ACD). Her training included a year at the prestigious St Johns Institute of Dermatology, St Thomas’ Hospital London.

In 2004, Dr Karyn Lun undertook a further year of subspecialty training in Sydney, completing a Mohs micrographic surgery and laser fellowship. She is on the approved ACD Mohs micrographic surgeon list, one of 9 in Queensland and one of 8 female dermatologists in Australia. Dr Karyn Lun is a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery. She is a Senior Visiting Medical Officer at Princess Alexandra Hospital and Greenslopes Private Hospital, and has a strong commitment to patients and teaching junior doctors. She is a member of several committees of the ACD.  

Her interests include skin cancer and Mohs surgery and reconstruction, as well as general dermatology – disorders of the skin, hair and nails.
