Dr Kavita Maravar

Dr Kavita Maravar is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist practising at Westmead and Auburn Hospitals.  She completed her Bachelors in Medicine (MBBS) degree from the University of Mumbai, India and followed this by undertaking a Master’s Degree in Medicine & Human Reproduction from the University of Sydney.   

Dr Maravar underwent specialist training at the Western Sydney Local Health district to obtain the prestigious Fellowship in Royal Australia & NZ College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG).  She is currently a Staff Specialist at Westmead and Blacktown Hospitals, where she runs a busy antenatal clinic.

She has an interest in treating women with gestational diabetes and thyroid issues during pregnancy.  In the last 3 years, she has undertaken intense training in Gynaecology surgery including laparoscopic surgery.

Dr Maravar would like to impart evidence-based knowledge to women through appropriate care at every stage of their life and is passionate in uplifting women’s overall health. She can offer care to women in the following areas:
