About
Dr Tanaka is committed to delivering evidence-based treatment. He is known for his warm and understanding approach, as well as his kind bedside manner.
Dr Tanaka obtained his medical degree from Trinity College, University of Dublin, before relocating to Australia in 2009 to complete specialist training in Queensland. He also consults at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the Surgical Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS), where he provides laparoscopic surgery.
Dr Tanaka manages endometriosis, menstrual irregularities, pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, and abnormal cervical screening results. He offers laparoscopic surgery for conditions such as severe endometriosis and large fibroids. Dr Tanaka’s PhD focused on the menstrual cycle and endometriosis, and he contributes to the field internationally as a reviewer for journals including Human Reproduction and the Journal of Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Disorders. His research has been published in leading medical journals, and he has presented at national and international conferences.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr Tanaka enjoys skiing and spending time with his young family.
