The second fellowship was based at The Avenue Hospital, Epworth Richmond, Austin Health and the Royal Children’s Hospital with Dr Jit Balakumar, Victoria’s leading hip preservation surgeon. Here, Kerian undertook extensive training in hip preservation surgery. In addition, he gained comprehensive experience with primary and revision hip arthroplasty through the anterior approach including hip resurfacing.
