Dr Koomulli Sahadudheen

Dr Sahad graduated from the University of Calicut (MBBS) before completing specialist training in General Medicine (MD) in 2004 from Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai to qualify as Specialist General Physician. He also holds a postgraduate diploma in Diabetology (PGDHS).  He received membership of the Royal College of Physicians of UK in 2012 and is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. He completed his advanced Medical Oncology training at Canberra hospital (ACT) and GV health (Victoria) to receive his Fellowship (FRACP) from the Royal Australian College of Physicians.

Dr Sahad is a medical oncologist and his interest includes prostate cancer, melanoma, neuroendocrine tumours, lower GI and pancreatic cancers, kidney and bladder cancers.

He also has immense experience in dealing with a wide range of acute and chronic general medical conditions.  His interest in General Medicine includes diabetes and related complications.

He is an active member of many professional organisations including Medical Oncology Group of Australia (MOGA), American Society of Oncology (ASCO), and European society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), IMSANZ, Endocrine Society of Australia (ESA), and PCPA (Private Cancer Physicians of Australia)

He is very much interested and involved in academic teaching and research activities, and has published articles in national and international journals.

He works as Adjunct Senior Lecturer in the College of Medicine and Dentistry at James Cook University, QLD, Australia.
