Dr Kujan Nagaratnam graduated in Medicine from the University of New South Wales in 1988. He completed Internal Medicine training and Advanced Training in Geriatric Medicine and Stroke Medicine at Westmead hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and their network hospitals in Sydney. He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 1997. He further trained in Stroke and Rehabilitation Medicine.
Dr. Nagaratnam held Senior Staff Specialist positions in General, Geriatric Medicine and Stroke Medicine at Westmead Public Hospital and Blacktown-Mt. Druitt Hospitals until 2012. He is currently in fulltime private practice. He is a Visiting Consultant Physician/Geriatrician at Westmead Private Hospital, Macquarie University Hospital, The Hills Private and Norwest Private Hospitals.
Dr. Nagaratnam is a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Medicine at The University of Sydney. His academic interests include teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate medical students. He has co-authored two text books to date and has published multiple research papers. He has coordinated and runs a perioperative fellowship program for the past 7 years.
