About

Dr Xu is an orthopaedic surgeon, with sub-speciality expertise in hand, wrist and peripheral nerve conditions. With extensive training throughout Sydney, Canberra, Wollongong, and Wagga Wagga, she has completed advanced subspecialty fellowships at St Luke’s Hospital Hand Unit, Sydney Hand and Eye Hospital, and internationally at Chelsea and Westminster Hand Unit in London, as part of the AHSS Post Fellowship Education and Training programme.

Dr. Xu brings expertise in both traumatic hand reconstruction and elective procedures for common conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, arthritis, and Dupuytren’s disease. She currently holds appointments at Sydney Eye Hospital, privately practices at Wollongong Private Hospital and is an active member of the Australian Hand Surgery Society and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Throughout her career, she has participated in and taught microsurgical techniques and advanced fracture fixation, and continues to teach training orthopaedic and plastic surgery registrars.

Committed to providing tailored, patient-centered management of all hand and wrist conditions, Dr. Xu approaches each patient’s unique situation with careful consideration, ensuring the best possible outcomes. She is also passionate about providing accessible care to patients from culturally diverse backgrounds, and is fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, Shanghai dialect, and French.
