About

Dr Logan Bittinger graduated with Honours from The University of Melbourne in 2000, becoming a cardiologist in 2007. He then undertook three further years of fellowship, dedicated solely to cardiac electrophysiology and cardiac rhythm management, including fellowships at MonashHeart, The Austin Hospital, and then Royal Jubilee Hospital in British Columbia, Canada.

Dr Bittinger is accomplished in complex interventional management of arrhythmias, particularly for atrial fibrillation. Through his public appointment at MonashHeart he regularly recruits and performs procedures for trials and international clinical research studies.

Dr Bittinger is a prolific implanter of cardiac devices, and offers device follow up through his clinics, with the ability to manage pacemakers and defibrillators from all the major device companies. He implants all devices publically and privately, including pacemakers, defibrillators and resynchronization devices.

His philosophy is that every patient needs to have a comprehensive understanding of and actively participate in decisions regarding their heart health. To this end, he prides himself on spending the time and having the ability to translate complicated medical concepts into a form understandable by his patients.
