Dr Louis Christie

Louis Christie first moved into rural practice in 1994 as a junior registrar in Orange. After working in critical care, Louis trained in emergency medicine before taking up appointment Orange as an emergency physician and retrievalist in late 2000. In 2007, he transitioned from ED Director into Director of Medical Services for the region and helped manage the transition of the Orange Health Service to the new hospital site in 2011. In 2011 he returned to clinical practice with the specialist palliative care service and has been working in palliative care medicine since that time.
