Dr Luiza Peculis

Luiza completed her medical studies at the University of Sydney and undertook her basic specialty training at John Hunter, Maitland, and Tamworth hospitals. She completed a further two years of advanced training at Liverpool Hospital focusing on management of high risk pregnancies including pregnancies complicated by medical disorders, twins and vaginal birth after caesarean.

Luiza is a Staff Specialist at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital and a VMO at Liverpool and St. George Private Hospitals. She is also a Conjoint Lecturer for UNSW and is heavily involved in medical student and junior doctor training and supervision.

When not at work Luiza is a busy wife and mum to two young sons and an energetic dog. She also speaks Portuguese.

Low and high risk pregnancies including medical disorders of pregnancy, next birth after caesarean and twins. General gynaecology including management of abnormal cervical screening/colposcopy, abnormal uterine bleeding, ovarian cysts, PCOS, early pregnancy complications, family planning and contraception, and menopause.
