About

Dr Aziz began his surgical career in New Zealand, where he qualified as a general surgeon. He then moved to Australia where he completed his vascular  training, gaining extensive experience in open and endovascular surgery since 2007.

Dr Aziz commenced full time private practice in February 2014; previously working in Brisbane tertiary facilities from 2010. He is a senior Lecturer of Surgery at the University of Queensland Medical School and holds VMO appointments at North West Private Hospital and St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital. Hisi special interests include:

• Endovenous Varicose Veins treatment (LASER and Radiofrequency Ablation)
• Diabetic foot
• Endovascular procedures (peripheral and aortic)
• Carotid diseases
• Renal dialysis access

Dr Aziz will be offering a comprehensive vascular service to the Ipswich Region including onsite consultation, full assessment in St Andrew’s catheter laboratory with ultrasound scan, Ankle/Brachial and Toe/Brachial indexes. Dr Aziz hopes to provide locally based services; eliminating the need for patients to travel to Brisbane for vascular surgery.
