About
When I was a toddler, I suffered full thickness burns to both hands. At the age of 13, I developed a burns scar contracture which was treated by a plastic surgeon. From then on, I decided I wanted to “be like that man”.
I’ve been a Specialist Plastic Surgeon (FRACS) for 35 years and consult and operate in Sydney, Cairns, Rockhampton and Melbourne. Furthermore, I provide specialist medico legal advice for both patients and colleagues.
Along with managing skin cancer, my primary focus is aesthetic surgery of the abdomen, breast and face. It is humbling to know my technique for performing a drainless, day-procedure abdominoplasty (DDA) is becoming recognised world-wide.
Early in my practice I operated on a severely burned boy from PNG, whose story was subsequently shown on 60 Minutes. I am the author of 2 books, swim 6 days a week (including at Tobruk) and have remained a loyal fan of AFL club St Kilda, despite the many heartaches that entails.
