Dr Mark Romero

Dr Mark Romero is a general and laparoscopic surgeon based in Port Macquarie, NSW, with a special interest in colorectal surgery. He earned his Bachelor of Biomedical Science with First Class Honours from Griffith University in 1999 and completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney in 2003. Dr Romero became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2012. Fluent in Spanish, Dr Romero offers a range of procedures including laparoscopic colorectal surgery, hernia repair, gallbladder removal, gastroscopy, colonoscopy (GESA accredited), and skin cancer surgery. He operates at Port Macquarie Private Hospital, Port Macquarie Base Hospital, and other regional facilities.
