About
Dr Mark Thompson was the second specialist gastroenterologist and hepatologist to arrive on the Gold Coast in early 1985. Since that time he has provided a comprehensive service in gastroenterology covering both the Gold Coast and northern NSW.
During the late 90's he was involved with both the development and operation of Tweed Day Surgery and Pacific Private Hospital. More recently he has been the lead gastroenterologist in the development of Pindara Endoscopy Centre with Ramsay Healthcare.
His principal clinical interest remains in diagnostic and interventional upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy including screening programmes for colorectal carcinoma and endoscopic therapies in the management of obesity.
