Dr Max Maffey

Dr Max Maffey is a Cardiologist with interest in interventional cardiology, diagnosis and management of ischaemic heart disease including complex percutaneous coronary intervention.

Dr Maffey reviews and treats patients across the spectrum of cardiac disease. In addition to diagnostic angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention, he has a particular interest in the assessment of chest pain, the primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease, and the diagnosis and management of heart failure and valvular heart disease.

Dr Maffey is an active researcher and has been published in international journals. He has presented at national and international conferences and has authored a book chapter. Dr Maffey was an associate lecturer at the University of Queensland and has been involved in the teaching of both medical students and junior doctors.

Dr Maffey believes in a holistic, individualised and patient-centred approach to the care of cardiac conditions with an emphasis on effective communication between doctor and patient.
