Mitcham Private Hospital would like to introduce, Dr Melissa Wong who has been dedicated in caring for women in the Mitcham area for over 25 years.
Melissa has a clinical focus on gynaecological care, including the management of heavy and painful periods, treating endometriosis, performing IUD insertions and removals, assessing abnormal Pap smears with colposcopy, and supporting women through menopause. Operative procedures performed include operative laparoscopy resection endometriosis, tubal dye studies, hysteroscopy D&C and LLETZ procedures. Melissa has an interest in reproductive endocrinology and
infertility, including IVF, ovulation induction, donor insemination, recurrent miscarriage, polycystic ovarian syndrome and male infertility.
Melissa graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1993. She undertook her obstetrics and gynaecological training at the Royal Women’s
Hospital and Box Hill Hospital. She has completed additional subspecialist training in infertility and holds a master’s degree in Reproductive Fertility
from the University of New South Wales. And holds a Diploma of Medical Law from the University of Melbourne.
