Dr Kyaw is passionate about treating the patient; not just about solving a diagnostic dilemma but finding solutions to patient’s symptoms through working with the patient, their primary doctor and or other specialists involved. She believes that the radiologist’s role has evolved and that they are no longer just reporting patient’s studies objectively but also involved in offering treatment solutions. Interventional radiology is an evolving specialty which offers minimally invasive surgeries and treatments which were previously not possible as we can now merge our understanding of imaging with treatments that can be minimally invasive, associated with less pain and hospital stays.
Dr Kyaw works at Lumus imaging (within Strathfield Private Hospital) to provide a comprehensive service of diagnostic and interventional Imaging.
