Dr Bowler has been practising as a specialist oral and maxillofacial surgeon in Newcastle since 1983. He held a position as a Senior Specialist V.M.O in oral and maxillofacial surgery to the Hunter and New England Area Heath Service from 1983 to 2013.
He is now in full time private specialist practice covering the full extent of the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery. His main interests are in the fields of temporomandibular joint surgery and facial deformity surgery.
He receives tertiary referrals from all over Australia and sees many complex patients for 2nd opinions and also for independent medicolegal reports. He has lectured extensively on a wide range of subjects both in Australia and overseas.
