About
Dr Michael Donovan is a General Surgeon with an interest in gastrointestinal, hernia, endocrine, salivary gland and bariatric (weight loss) surgery.
Dr Donovan is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He is past President of General Surgeons Australia and has also held executive positions within the Sunshine Coast Local Medical Association. He graduated from the University of Queensland and undertook specialist training in South-East Queensland, including the Sunshine Coast. He pursued further training in Basingstoke, UK before commencing specialist practice on the Sunshine Coast in 2002.
He is actively involved in surgical training, being a member of the Queensland Board in General Surgery and is also a College Examiner.
Dr Donovan operates at Noosa Hospital and Nambour Selangor Private Hospital, with minimally invasive surgery available for most patients.
