Dr Michael Njovu

Dr Michael Njovu is a specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine and he has an interest in the management of patient with Stroke and other Neurological conditions including Spinal Cord injuries.  He is particularly interested in the assessment and management of patients with spasticity, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease and patients suspected of having normal pressure hydrocephalus.

Dr Njovu has also trained, both here and in the USA, in musculoskeletal ultrasound for localisation of appropriate injection sites for patients that are suitable for treatment with Botulinum Neuro-toxin A.  Dr Njovu is an accredited injector under Section 100 PBS, Botulinum Toxin Program.  He is also a Workcover and TAC Impairment Assessor.  He is proficient in intra-articular steroid injection for joints in the upper and lower limbs and he has trained in the management of intra-thecal Baclofen and Morphine.
