Dr Michel Genon is an Australian orthopaedic surgeon, exprecienced in hip, knee, and shoulder surgeries.
Originally from Belgium and raised along the coast of Victoria, Dr. Genon completed his orthopaedic training through the Australian Orthopaedic Association’s NSW North Side Training Program. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2015.
He holds both public and private appointments at Cairns Hospital Hinterland Health Services and Cairns Private Hospital, where he provides a wide range of orthopaedic services, including robotic-assisted total hip, total knee, and partial knee replacements, arthroscopic knee and shoulder procedures, and complex trauma care.
Dr Genon has a particular focus on robotic-assisted joint replacement, aiming to improve patient outcomes through meticulous pre-operative planning and precise surgical execution.
A strong advocate for advancing orthopaedic care, Dr. Genon is deeply involved in research and innovation. He has led the development of clinical outcome tracking systems and continues to integrate evidence-based approaches into his practice.
