About
Clinical Practice
Dr Ari is a consultant medical oncologist who treats all solid tumours and welcomes referrals for undiagnosed patients with suspected malignancies. He is deeply committed to delivering comprehensive, patient-focused care and maintains both public and private practices, offering patients flexibility in their treatment options. He is also actively involved in teaching medical students and oncology trainees, contributing to the development of future medical professionals. In addition to English, Dr Ari is fluent in Sinhalese, allowing him to communicate effectively with a broader range of patients. Dr Ari graduated with honours in clinical sciences with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He pursued further studies at Newham University Hospital in the UK, and moved to Australia in 2007 to join Royal Perth Hospital, where he began his specialist training in medical oncology across Western Australia and New South Wales.
Clinical Research
Dr Ari is a strong advocate for clinical research and serves as the lead investigator on numerous oncology trials at One Clinical Research based at Hollywood Private Hospital. He also worked as a member of the Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital Clinical Drug Trials Committee. He is a member of the Medical Oncology Group of Australia, the European Society of medical oncology, and the Australasian gastrointestinal trial group.His work has resulted in multiple publications and poster presentations, reflecting his dedication to advancing cancer treatment through evidence-based research.
