Dr Myles Kwa is a Consultant Rehabilitation Medicine Physician with particular expertise in neurological rehabilitation, spasticity management, and management of patients with complex disability from multiple diagnoses.
He obtained his medical degree from the University of New England, graduating with Distinction as well as receiving the Australian Medical Association Ltd Prize for the highest overall performance in the Joint Medical Program. Dr Kwa obtained his Fellowship from the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine after many years of training across several major teaching hospitals in Sydney including subspecialty training at the Spinal Injuries Unit at Royal North Shore Hospital and the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit at Westmead Hospital.
Dr Kwa holds a Staff Specialist appointment at Hornsby-Ku-Ring gai Hospital where he works with hospital inpatients as well as a high complexity spasticity clinic. He is also a Staff Specialist at Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick and leads the spasticity service.
Dr Kwa has expertise across all areas of rehabilitation medicine, with a particular interest in the management of neurological conditions, spasticity management, ultrasound guided interventions including botulinum toxin, and frailty/sarcopenia of elderly patients.
Dr Kwa is a fitness enthusiast, enjoying weightlifting, powerlifting, marathon running, and kayaking in his personal time. His personal passion for exercise brings a unique perspective to the management of his patients.
