About
Dr Panawalage Dona Priyangika (Shiromali) Malalasekera is a general physician with extensive clinical experience managing acute and chronic medical conditions.
Dr Shiromali Malalasekera received her medical qualification from the University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka in 2003. After completing a one-year internship, Dr Malalasekera worked as an Anaesthetist.
She commenced Physician Training in 2007, which was completed in 2013. During this time, Dr Malalasekera held the positions of Registrar and Senior Registrar in tertiary hospitals in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Dr Malalasekera commenced as a Consultant Physician General Medicine in 2013 in Sri Lanka and worked there for four years before moving to Australia to take up the position of Staff Consultant at the Rockhampton Hospital. During this time,
she completed her FRACP and currently works as a Consultant Physician General Medicine at the Rockhampton Hospital.
Dr Malalasekera is accepting both inpatient and outpatient referrals for general medicine at Hillcrest Private Hospital Rockhampton. Referrals can be sent via Medical Objects or via email.
